Meaningful Planet was proud to be named a finalist for Startup of the Year at the Big Sustainability Awards, held at St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton last week.
The awards bring together businesses and organisations working to make sustainability a more meaningful part of how they operate, and it was great to spend the evening alongside so many people approaching that challenge in different ways.
While we didn’t take home the award, being recognised as a finalist was a welcome acknowledgement of what we’re building at Meaningful Planet.
We’re a certified B Corp rebuilding business mobile around customer need, bringing connectivity, our own technology platform, SOVA, and human service together in one joined-up service. We support businesses with both UK and international mobile requirements, including physical SIM and eSIM deployments.
That means making business mobile simpler to manage, using better visibility and intelligence to help businesses make smarter decisions, and taking a fairer approach to pricing, contracts, and the long-term relationship with our customers.
Sustainability is part of that approach, too. We calculate and offset emissions associated with customer network usage and our own operations, while separately directing 10% of profits to UK nature restoration.
Thank you to Anita, Lynda, and the Southern Sustainability team for a brilliant evening, and congratulations to all the winners and finalists.
We’ll be back with the Southern Sustainability team later this month for the Big Sustainability Expo on 29 October, this time at the Utilita Bowl in Southampton. If you’re attending, come and say hello.
