Our Impact

We started Meaningful Planet to make business mobile simpler, smarter, and fairer, with sustainability and impact integrated into how we operate.

We are proud to be a certified B corporation, living wage employer, and active supporter of nature restoration and biodiversity net gain initiatives.

Built for connection. Run responsibly.

Award-winning credentials

We are a certified B Corp and Ethical Consumer ‘Best Buy’ mobile network award winner, and our team is regularly invited to speak on purpose-led business and sustainability, including by The Economist, Web Summit, and at telecoms industry events.

Individual SIM-level emissions reporting

We track environmental impact down to the individual SIM level, and offset the emissions using verified UK carbon projects. Our platform provides audit-ready data covering your actual network usage, making annual reporting straightforward.

Sustainable infrastructure

We prioritise sustainable, renewable solutions wherever possible, and select network partners and suppliers who share this vision. Working with our network partners, we are targeting fully net zero connectivity by 2031.

Accredited UK Conservation Partners

We work alongside credible conservation organisations such as Regional Wildlife Trusts, to ensure the work is high quality and localised to the UK. We use 10% of our profits to support wildlife and habitat restoration across Britain.

01 — Origin

Built in from day one.

We started Meaningful Planet to make business mobile simpler, smarter, and fairer. From the beginning, we wanted to build a company where sustainability and impact were integrated into how the business operates rather than added on afterward.

02 — Approach

The longer view, applied every day.

Our approach is built on long-term thinking, applied across the team. We ask everyone to look for the more efficient, more aligned, more durable path rather than the easier short-term one.

03 — Belief

Smarter systems, better outcomes.

Sustainability and efficiency belong together — they’re both about building smarter systems and reducing waste, and through them, creating a world that works better.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. All emissions generated by network usage are tracked at SIM level and fully offset – so carbon-neutral connectivity is built into every plan, not offered as an add-on. The projects we support alongside Wildlife Trusts across the UK go further than offsetting. Initiatives like seagrass restoration in the Solent and peatland preservation in the Great Fen actively sequester carbon over the long term, creating lasting environmental benefit beyond simply balancing the books.

Through direct partnerships with Wildlife Trusts across the UK, we fund restoration projects that create measurable, local impact – from the reintroduction of native species to the recovery of degraded habitats. We commit 10% of all business profits directly to these initiatives. All network emissions are tracked and offset as standard, keeping connectivity carbon-neutral across every plan. The goal isn’t to offset and move on. It’s to fund work that restores ecosystems, supports biodiversity, and creates durable value for the communities and wildlife that depend on them.

We work directly with Wildlife Trusts for London, Sussex, Yorkshire, Hampshire and Isle of Wight, and Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire. These partnerships fund the restoration and protection of nature at a local level across the UK – and our involvement goes beyond writing cheques. Our co-founders have taken part directly, including helping to harvest seagrass seed in the Solent.

Business customers can view the environmental projects their plans support directly in the management portal, alongside a breakdown of their network emissions and the offset coverage included as standard. Personal SIM customers receive regular updates on the projects their plans are funding and can track the progress of specific initiatives by logging into their account.

We are recognised by the London Wildlife Trust and the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire for our support of projects including beaver reintroduction in Northampton and peatland restoration in the Great Fen. Beyond our charity partnerships, we hold Best Buy status with Ethical Consumer, are a certified B Corporation, and have spoken on the relationship between environmental and financial sustainability at the Economist’s Sustainability Week.
