Our Story

Meaningful Planet was founded by Nick, Richard, and Piotr, after seeing first-hand how many businesses were being let-down by their core service providers due to legacy platforms, inefficient systems, and misaligned business practices.

Across telecoms in particular, they saw time and again businesses having to wrestle with black-box billing, fragmented tools, and poor service. Businesses were having to expend unnecessary time and effort simply to maintain the status quo - not to mention the financial costs. It was clear there had to be a better way.

Drawing on leadership experience across FTSE-250 and private-equity-backed technology and utilities businesses, they set out to build a platform that replaced opacity with clarity, reactivity with intelligence, and short-term fixes with long-term alignment.

Why We Started

In a world increasingly defined by complexity and acceleration, it is easy to mistake optimisation for progress.

We believe that the most effective systems are those designed for alignment - where performance, responsibility and long-term value reinforce one another rather than compete.

Meaningful Planet was started to demonstrate that aligned business models, intelligent technology and long-term thinking can deliver better outcomes for everyone involved - customers, partners and the environments we all depend on.

Rather than treating responsibility as a constraint, we see it as a design principle: when systems are built for alignment and durability, efficiency improves, waste falls and performance follows.

Our Impact Approach

Our approach to impact reflects how we think about systems as a whole.

We prioritise circular-economy principles across devices and services, favouring refurbish and recycle over replace and waste. This reduces unnecessary extraction, lowers embodied emissions and extends the useful life of essential technology.

We focus on environmental impact beyond carbon alone - while carbon matters, it is too narrow a lens. Healthy ecosystems depend on biodiversity, soil, water and interconnected habitats. Long-term resilience requires addressing this wider picture.

For this reason, we partner with Wildlife Trusts across the UK, supporting projects where local expertise, long-term stewardship and transparent reporting ensure funding delivers durable, real-world outcomes.

Our Founders

Nick Falkowski

CEO & Co-Founder

I’m Nick, and I founded Meaningful Planet because I believe the future is shaped by the systems and choices we put in place today - and that business has a responsibility to design those systems to work better.

Telecoms is a clear example of an essential industry that has become overly complex and inefficient. I saw an opportunity to rethink how it operates: making it more transparent, more intelligent and designed for long-term positive outcomes.

I’m an experienced founder and product leader, having held senior roles across start-ups, scale-ups and FTSE-250 organisations. My focus has always been on building products and platforms that solve real problems through clarity, simplicity and thoughtful design.

My family and I live on the Isle of Wight. Being surrounded by countryside and coastline acts as a constant reminder of why long-term thinking matters - and why the work we do should leave things better than we found them.

Richard West

COO & Co-Founder

I’m Richard, Co-Founder and COO of Meaningful Planet. I’m driven by a belief that well-designed operations, technology and commercial models can deliver both strong business performance and meaningful long-term impact.

I bring extensive experience leading business development and commercial functions within SME-focused and private-equity-backed businesses, with a particular focus on scaling B2B operations and delivering enterprise-grade solutions.

Inspired by nature and the way my daughters engage with the world around them, I’m committed to building a company that aligns commercial success with environmental restoration.

Based in Suffolk, the region’s landscapes and wildlife provide a daily reminder of the importance of protecting what matters.

Piotr Jaworski

Engineering Director & Co-Founder

I’m Piotr, Engineering Director at Meaningful Planet. I lead the development of our platform and underlying systems, ensuring they are robust, scalable and designed to deliver clarity at every layer - from cost and usage to environmental reporting.

Throughout my career, I have balanced deep technical expertise with strategic engineering leadership, scaling platforms from early-stage MVPs to robust systems for high-growth scale-ups.

I’ve lived and worked in both London and Warsaw, and bring a perspective shaped by building technology across different markets and contexts. My focus is on creating intelligent, proactive systems that reduce administrative burden for SMEs while supporting transparent, aligned commercial models.

Outside of work, I enjoy sport, long walks in nature and exploring the world.
