Our Story

Founded by eco-conscious entrepreneurs Nick Falkowski and Richard West, Meaningful Planet was born out of a shared passion for ethical practices, the natural world, and the belief that through technology and innovation we can build a world that works better.

By combining this belief with the experiences drawn from prior leadership roles at FTSE-250 and PE-backed technology and utilities businesses, they set out to create a new kind of company - one that transforms everyday telecoms services into drivers of efficiency, sustainability, and positive change.

Why We Started

In a world where many feel powerless about environmental challenges, we saw an opportunity for change.

We believed that by reimagining telecoms services to have positive impact at their core, we could create a way for people and businesses to both receive great service and make a meaningful impact without extra effort, cost, or sacrifice.

It started with a simple question: what if every phone call could help restore nature?

From restoring seagrass meadows to reintroducing native species, we're helping create lasting change through everyday services.

Working with expert, accredited partners, and empowering them with funding and technology support maximizes this impact, ensuring effectiveness and transparency on every project we support.

Nick Falkowski

I'm Nick, and I founded Meaningful Planet because I believe the future is shaped by the choices we make today - and I wanted to build a business that actively creates a better one for everyone and everything on this planet.

But that won't happen if we stick to outdated ways of doing things. Telecoms is a perfect example: an essential industry that's ripe for transformation. We need to innovate how key sectors operate - making them more efficient, less wasteful, and designed with long-term positive impact built into their core

I'm an experienced founder and product management expert who's worked in key leadership roles across start-ups, scale-ups, and FTSE 250 companies.

My family and I call the Isle of Wight home, where living surrounded by beautiful countryside reminds me daily why this mission matters, and motivates me to do my part in protecting it for future generations.

I’m Richard, Co-Founder and COO of Meaningful Planet. driven by a shared passion for design, innovation, and technology, led to the creation of Meaningful Planet.

With extensive experience running business development and commercial departments at businesses servicing the needs of SMEs, and expertise in scaling B2B operations and delivering enterprise-grade solutions at PE-backed businesses, I’m dedicated to aligning business success with environmental restoration across the UK.

Inspired by nature, wildlife, and my daughters’ interactions with the environment, I’m committed to preserving it for future generations.

Living in Suffolk, the region’s natural beauty fuels my drive to make a positive impact through our work at Meaningful Planet.
